District 67 APT Community Service
Annual Food Drive
March 1 – March 12, 2010
We will be collecting canned and other non-perishable food for the Northern Illinois Food Bank in each District 67 school. Please join us again in providing food for the less fortunate in our community.
Our most needed items at this time include:
- Canned Meals & Proteins (soups, stews, chili, tuna fish)
- Canned Fruits & Vegetables.
Please consider donating these items or any of the other non-perishable items listed below. Please drop off all donated items at the lobby of your child’s school. Questions? Please contact your school APT Community Service Representatives or Missy Burger at 847-615-1637 mgburger@hotmail.com
Other Food Items Needed. (NO glass containers please).
- Canned tuna, chicken & other meats
- Coffee, tea bags, hot cocoa mix
- Soups, stews, broth, chowder, chili
- Beans
- Peanut butter
- Jams, jellies
- Canned fruits, including apple sauce
- Powdered creamer
- Canned vegetables
- Juices (100% juice preferred)
- Flour-based mixes (bread brownie, cake, muffin, pancake, waffle)
- Ketchup, mustard, relish, barbeque sauce
- Cereal (dry, bars, oatmeal)
- Syrup
- Boxed meals (mac & cheese, helpers, rice mixes)
- Milks (condensed, evaporated, powdered)
- Pasta & rice
- Cooking oils
